police...no "night guard"
we found a sale at a local toy store in denver and Zayd was so happy to get a police outfit - He later told us that b/c there was no gun that he was not a police but a "night guard" he slept with his outfit on last night and said he wasn't going to sleep and stay up all night to protect us from the "mean guys" - He eventually fell asleep..

family in colorado springs - glen eyrie
out in colorado for 1 week with some meetings with NavPress - they have probably the most beautiful spread of land that any Christian ministry has. Right next to the Garden of the gods -- had a day to show the kids around the beautiful place this is - in case you do not know, elise and I dates here in colorado springs and were married just north in monument -many memories here --- it was neat to take our 2 kids here for the first time

In case you were wondering what is actually wrong with my back - Here is a good image to see -- The drawing on the left is normal and what it should look like -
The yellow circle is the spinal cord - The image on the right is the disk bulging out and pressing in on the nerves and spinal cord - (What my disk is doing)
neurosurgeon tomorrow
i visit a neurosurgeon tomorrow to get a 2nd opinion on my Herniated disk issue - Thank you for your prayers.
update on my back
Thank you for your emails, prayers, advice and concern over my back issue --
I returned from the doctor today and I have a herniated disk (meaning my vertebrae [C6] is bulging out - It is not merely pressing our touching my spinal cord but is "severely compressing" my spinal cord - using the doctor's words - He wants to do surgery to take out the disk, replace it with bone and a metal plate through the front of my neck - He says if I had even the slightest head injury, whip lash that it could have severe damage (paralysis)
Has anyone had this surgery? Would love to talk to someone who has - Please continue to pray for wisdom as we make decisions - i am in still in a great deal of pain.
